Tiffany Haddish

I love me some Tiffany Haddish. You’ve probably seen my thousand posts about opening up for her but those don’t tell the whole story. I’ve worked with Tiffany four times now and at four different stages of her fame. From touring comedian to co star of the Carmichael Show to breakout star of Girls Trip to Hollywood A List Superstar. Along the way the crowds have grown, the venues have grown and her entourage has grown but she’s still the same cool ass girl I first met six years ago. I jokingly said something to her the other night about how I don’t know how I should act around her and she immediately shut that down, “Rob, don’t ever say that. It’s me and we are family.” All the people that Tiffany travels with on these shows other than her agents are people she’s known for most of her life. She wants her people to go on this ride with her. After the final show at the Warner Theatre Saturday night her feature, Marlow, said, “You did this Tiffany.” Tiffany replied, “No, we did this. We are doing this. We are a team.”

Her whole, the girl you relate to and root for vibe/persona isn’t an act. It’s not a persona. It is who she is. She is the real deal so stay rooting for her and stay supporting her. She will reward you with authenticity, with laughter, with joy.

I’m not sure how many more shows I will get to do with Tiffany but I can assure you I will cherish every second of this ride. I know my role, my part in her journey is a small one but it is one I am forever grateful to play. #TeamTiffany #SheReady
