Come Together
I pull into the Harris Teeter parking lot and park. There’s two groups of teenagers a few spots away talking. I get out and walk towards the store. One group of the teenagers peels out, drives right past me and the dude in the passenger seat yells out of his window to the other teenagers, “You ugly as shit.” He then yells it again because when you have a gem like that you double down. For the record, the guy yelling was not very attractive. He’s not facing a life of swipe rights. As this is happening a 50ish year old black woman is walking towards me. Our eyes meet and we both shake our heads in dismay. The point of all this is that the one thing both male and female, black and white can agree on is our hatred of teenagers. #ComeTogether #OneHate
Can you woo-woo-woo?
After my show Saturday night at the Rams Head On Stage I was staring at the posters of all the upcoming acts. The 60 year old black woman standing next to me points to the Jeffrey Osborne one and says, “I gave three men pussy that didn’t deserve it because of that man’s music.” She then began to sing On The Wings Of Love. I then sang, Can you woo, woo, woo and ruined the moment.
